Joanna KuligJAROSŁAW BOBEREK

Theatre , film and dubbing actor, dubbing director.

In 1990 after graduating from the National Theatre School in Wrocław he is associated with Teatr Stydyjny ’83 in ŁódĽ for three years. Since 2001, he is related to Teatr Studio in Warsaw as well as Teatr Praga, Fabryka Trzciny and Teatr Telewizji.

In 1993 for the first time, playing a police officer, he appears in “Łowca. Ostatnie starcie” directed by Jerzy Łukaszewicz. Later, he acts in such productions as “Pułkownik Kwiatkowski”, “Cwale”, “Pieni±dze to nie wszystko” and such TV series as “WiedĽmin”, “Boża podszewka”, “Londyczńczycy” and “Rodzina Zastępcza”. Thanks to this role, of a policeman in the TV series aired on Polsat, he gains popularity, although many film enthusiasts and gamers have known his voice before.

As properly pointed out by one of forum users - bartimus:

First of all, he is quite busy – he dubs several films a year plus TV series. Secondly – he has amazing abilities, his voice is extremely flexible, for example Julien form “Madagascar”. Big respect.

However, Jarosław Boberek has not only a fascinating voice, which is enjoyable for our ears. He has many interesting and various theatre, film and TV roles.

Often, he is called the king of dubbing, though he admits in one interview that he dislikes this title, he adds:

“Master, king, legend. It all sounds great, but somebody who saves people’s lives is not referred to as a scalpel king or a surgery legend! Well, maybe after his death he is. I’m just trying to do my job well and I’m enjoying it. However, if anyone needs such exaggerated names… You’re welcome. I’ve stopped fighting it. I don’t argue anymore.”

Jarosław Boberek dubs such characters as Julien from “Madagascar”, lumberjack from “Hoodwinked!” or Lenny in “Shark Tale”. He also personates the heart from a popular advertisement series “Heart and Mind”. Furthermore, he is a voice actor in video games. Gamers may know him as Nathan Drake form “Uncharted”, Don Falcon from “Chicago 1930” or Morlan from “Mass Effect” franchise.
